All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. Across the U.S., too many boys and girls go without a bed – or even a pillow – to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors. This can affect their happiness and health.
Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is dedicated to building, assembling, and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. No kid sleeps on the floor in our town®.
Sleep In Heavenly Peace gives brothers a fun way to make an impact to your local community. The hands-on service opportunities available through Sleep in Heavenly Peace allow brothers to see the fruits of their labor – there is no better feeling than the excitement a child has when their new bed is delivered. All beds stay within your local community, so the impact you have is truly local. Supporting the children in need within your local community will not only benefit the kids’ futures individually, but will also support their schools, local organizations, and the entire community.
Our Colorado Phi Chapter has been volunteering with Sleep In Heavenly Peace since 2018, by building beds, donating bedding, and delivering beds in the Colorado Springs area. Sigma Alpha Epsilon launched our national partnership with Sleep In Heavenly Peace in July 2021.
Volunteer: Build Days are meant for communities to come together to serve. Because of this we encourage brothers to sponsor or participate in a build day.
Donate: As a nonprofit organization, donations are imperative to Sleep in Heavenly Peace and ensure that they can continue their mission that “No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town.”
Sponsor: You can help sponsor a national or local build by providing lumber, bedding materials such as mattresses or bedding, or even hosting a local build day in your area.
