QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. This program aims to equip participants with the skills to recognize signs of crisis, respond to someone in crisis, and how to get help and save a life.
SAE provides the Online QPR Gatekeeper Training, a self-paced online module, to all collegiate members. It is interactive and taught in a clear, concise format using the latest in educational technology and practices. The course takes approximately one hour to complete. You may read more about the program here.
Suicide is increasingly prevalent within the current generation of college students, including within our Brotherhood. It is the second-leading cause of death in people aged 10 to 24 and is preventable. SAE believes this is an important issue to address within our chapters.
Collegiate members may register through this sign-up form. This program is being paid for by the Fraternity, so registration is free of cost collegiate brothers. Once you register through the linked form, you will receive an email with your unique login information and instructions on how to access the QPR portal.
