The F&H Student Intern of SAE Financial and Housing Corporation (“F&H”) assists the organization with ongoing operations, including finance, accounting, Chapter House Management, Matterport, Database Management, and Summer Turnover.

Finance & Housing Summer Intern Information

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Department in terms of accounting, finance, and ensuring compliance of Chapter Members
  • Assists documentation maintenance
  • Assists the Move-In/Out Process
  • Assists in the update of Member information in the Property Management Platform
  • Assists in the internal collections process and notifying delinquent Members
  • Assists Asset Managers with Summer Turnover of Properties
  • Assists with the completion and staging of properties for Matterport
  • Other duties as assigned

Matterport Implementation:

Development and execution of digital 3D walkthroughs using Matterport technology to document and assess chapter facilities. This includes pilot programs at Oregon Beta and New Hampshire Beta, as well as expansion to additional properties such as Indiana Delta (storage unit documentation), Ohio Gamma, and Michigan Delta.

Summer Turnover Operations:

Comprehensive coordination of chapter house turnover during the summer months to ensure facilities are prepared for the upcoming academic year.

Business Operations:

Support day-to-day housing operations by managing live-in agreements and lease compliance, ensuring contractual obligations are met, coordinating room buildouts and occupancy readiness, monitoring financial compliance for in-house members, assisting with accounts receivable and outstanding balances, and handling general administrative tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Chapter House Operations:

Support housing operations by sourcing and evaluating competitive vendor quotes to secure cost-effective, high-quality services, and managing asset tagging systems to track furniture, equipment, and property inventory.

Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and G-Suite
  • Is self-motivated, organized, and able to work with a team
  • Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with policy creation and writing
  • Is dependable, flexible, and able to prioritize tasks
  • Needs a valid Real ID, Driver’s License, or Passport to travel across the Country
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift 50lbs comfortably
  • Comfortable with flexible work schedule during travel times
  • Must locate to the Evanston, IL area during work period
  • Expected to work out of the Fraternity Service Center in Evanston, IL
  • Membership in Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity preferred, but not required
