Expansion Consultants are responsible for helping SAE grow by establishing new chapters at colleges and universities. The role typically involves traveling to campuses, recruiting and educating potential members, organizing interest events, and guiding new groups through the process of becoming officially recognized chapters.

Expansion Consultants coach groups, members, and volunteers on best practices of chapter operations, education, scholarship, leadership, service, character development, and healthy social practices – which are congruent with the Mission and Vision of the Fraternity.

Expansion Consultant Information

Primary Responsibilities

  • Communicate frequently with Emerging Chapters and other involved constituents
  • Evaluate monthly reports submitted by Emerging Chapters and make recommendations on areas for improvement
  • Coordinate and research the Institutional Investigations for the Extension Advisory Committee
  • Remain current on university, fraternity and undergraduate issues
  • Assist with coordinating events such as Emerging Chapter Installations, Chartering, and other retreats
  • Assist with coordinating the campus site visits, interest group recruitment, expansion process, and overall Emerging Chapter development through chartering
  • Oversees and coordinates all current Emerging Chapters’ educational programming and development
  • Frequent travel
  • Assumes other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Membership in Sigma Alpha Epsilon
  • Baccalaureate degree required
  • Knowledge of Fraternity and all related operations
  • Strong oral, written, and computer skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends occasionally
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents
  • Ability to develop, plan, and implement short and long-term goals
  • Undergraduate Chapter recruitment experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the expansion process preferred

Location

The position is based remotely within driving distance of a major airport, but requires frequent and extended-stay travel.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $50,000 – $55,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The final compensation offer will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s depth of relevant experience, technical skill set, demonstrated expertise, and overall fit for the role.
