Leadership School provides two tracks: a leadership track for general members and an executive track for chapter officers.
The leadership track takes a big-picture look at fraternity leadership and a deeper dive into what it means to serve the Fraternity and our global community. It is an immersive learning experience in which collegiate brothers will focus on building the skills needed to serve in any leadership role and will build leadership competencies needed to lead within the Fraternity, their community, and their professional roles.
The executive track focuses on increasing each officer’s understanding of their roles and responsibilities, team building, goal setting, strategy development, and implementation. We also focus on the crucial chapter and community issues paramount to success

Registration is currently available through The SAE Portal until Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 11:55 p.m. Pacific Time. Each member must log in and register himself; please be prepared with your form of payment (credit card or discount code). Follow these instructions if you need help accessing The SAE Portal for the first time.
If you would like to pay for multiple registrations, please contact Hannah Blenden at hblenden@sae.net. You will receive an invoice for the total amount (payable by card, ACH, or check) and a discount code for each member to use when he registers on The SAE Portal.
COST
Registration covers all event activities, meals, and lodging. Travel to and from the event is not included. The cost of registration for Leadership School is $599 per person.
DEADLINES
Registration is available through The SAE Portal. Registration will close Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 11:55 p.m. Pacific Time.
CANCELLATIONS & SUBSTITUTIONS
Anyone needing to cancel or substitute their registration must log in to their account on The SAE Portal to cancel or submit a change request. All cancellations and substitutions must be submitted by Monday, December 12, 2024, at 11:55 p.m. Pacific Time. After December 12, refunds will not be issued for cancellations.
A limited number of scholarships will be awarded to attendees. Scholarships will cover registration costs only (if selected, you will still be responsible for travel costs). All scholarship applications are due by October 15, 2024, at 11:55 p.m. Pacific Time. Apply here.
Chapter Education Funds (CEFs) may be used to cover the cost of registration. Please contact your Fund Administrator or Alison Lai (alai@sae.net), Manager of Donor Services at the SAE Foundation, for instructions.
ARRIVING IN CHICAGO
Program check-in will begin at 12:00 p.m. Central Time on Thursday, January 9, 2025. The Opening Session will begin at 2:00 p.m. Please plan to arrive at the hotel by 1:00 p.m. (land by noon if flying) to check in, receive your materials, and join the program.
FLYING
If you are flying to Chicago, the closest airport is Chicago O’Hare (ORD). Please try to select a flight that lands by noon Central Time. Our hotel offers a free shuttle from the airport.
While you may choose to fly into Chicago Midway (MDW), know the drive will take about an hour, and taxi/ride share costs average $70+. Please plan accordingly.
DRIVING
If you are driving to Chicago, our hotel offers complimentary parking.
DEPARTING CHICAGO
The program will conclude Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. To graduate, you must be in attendance for all sessions in full. It is advised that you book your departing flight for any time after 1:00 p.m. (if flying from ORD) or after 2:00 p.m. (if flying from MDW). If you are driving, you may depart immediately following the final session.

By completing this registration, you certify you are either 1) registering yourself for the event or 2) completing registrations for fellow chapter members on their behalf and are liable for doing so. During registration, it is the responsibility of the person registering to keep track of who he registers.
Attendance for the entire program — from start to finish — is required for successful graduation. Departing early from the program for any reason may result in failure to graduate.
Attire for Leadership School varies throughout the weekend. You may also want to pack lounge clothes, workout attire, and/or a swimsuit for your free time.
