The Coordinator of Education assists in developing curricula and assessments, and in implementing educational programs and initiatives.

Coordinator of Education Information

Primary Responsibilities

  • Write Fraternity-specific curriculum on role training and special topics.
  • Assist in the development of curriculum goals and outlines for programs and initiatives.
  • Participate in the development of new curriculum and the evaluation of existing material.
  • Manage relationships with subject-matter experts (SMEs) who provide content for curriculum creation.
  • Consult with constituents in the design and development of new curriculum.
  • Observe curriculum implementation and collect feedback from learners.
  • Create video, graphic art, and code-based media for use in e-learning courses.
  • Utilize data to make recommendations on how to improve and edit curriculum.
  • Actively pursue opportunities to continue to learn best practices in curriculum writing through research, professional development, and other learning opportunities.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of educational programs and initiatives.
  • Assist the Director of Education with various duties, programs, and responsibilities of the department.
  • Travel to in-person educational programs, staff training, and curriculum observations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in education, instructional design, student affairs, or related field
  • Demonstrated curriculum development experience, including outcomes and objective development and assessment, with 1-2 years of professional experience
  • Experience with online curriculum development
  • Excellent facilitation, written and oral communication, and public speaking skills
  • Identify and address problems by developing, evaluating, and implementing solutions
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Team-oriented, servant leader, and motivated to exceed expectations
  • Ability to work independently to achieve targeted goals and initiatives
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Canva, and Articulate RISE
  • Proficiency in Camtasia, Adobe, Storyline, and Asana preferred
  • Ability to find career satisfaction in this position for a period of no less than two years
  • Experience with in-person curriculum development preferred
  • Ability to analyze information and draw insightful conclusions from diverse information preferred
  • Membership in Sigma Alpha Epsilon is preferred
