The National Ambassador Program is the pinnacle leadership development program for collegiate members of the Fraternity. Ambassadors participate in monthly meetings, support educational events, and engage in personal and professional growth and development. Throughout the program, brothers will meet various Fraternity staff, gain behind-the-scenes insight into Fraternity goals, priorities, and operations, and receive coaching from prominent Fraternity alumni.

Responsibilities of an Ambassador

Brothers participating in the National Ambassador program will develop skills in leadership, event management, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Attend monthly virtual meetings.
  • Work directly with a Fraternity Service Center department as an “intern” on special department-specific projects and initiatives.
  • Promote the National Ambassador Program through social media and personal relationships throughout the year.
  • Participate in the Ambassador recruitment and interview process.
  • Participate in various Fraternity initiatives, as needed (past examples include being on the TG Talk podcast, writing for The Record, and recording videos for marketing Fraternity programs).
  • Serve as a sounding board for Fraternity staff regarding initiatives impacting collegian members.

Education Responsibilities:

  • Attend one in-person program during the academic year, where you will peer-facilitate and support event logistics: DeVotie Ritual Institute (January) or Leadership School (January).
  • Attend conference calls in the weeks leading up to events. They will be on a weekday evening and last no more than 60 minutes.
  • Review the training materials sent before the program.
  • Participate in campaigns to encourage registration from chapters throughout the Realm.
  • Assist in pre-event setup and post-event clean-up.
  • Attend and participate in all general sessions and other activities during the program.
  • Fulfill all assigned duties before, during, and at the close of events.
  • Follow any instructions provided, as dynamic changes and unforeseen needs may arise.
  • Sigma Alpha Epsilon will cover registration, travel, hotel, and meals during the program.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a collegiate active in good standing from a chapter or an emerging chapter in good standing.
  • Must be a graduate of at least one national program (Leadership School, Inner Circle, or Ritual Academy/DeVotie Ritual Institute).
  • Must not graduate before May 2027.
  • Must demonstrate strong moral character and/or meet the criteria as described in “The True Gentleman.”
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
