Sigma Alpha Epsilon is a proud partner of the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI), hosted by the Association of Fraternal Leadership and Values (AFLV). As an integral part of the Fraternity’s leadership development program, collegiate brothers have the opportunity to build skills and influence positive change in SAE and their campus’s fraternity/sorority community.
UIFI is a four-day, three-night, immersive leadership experience where fraternity/sorority students come together to:
● discover new solutions to critical problems
● learn from and share experiences with other fraternity and sorority students
● identify the conversations they want to start in their own communities.
Participants will learn from each other in both large and small group settings. The goal is for all participants to have a new perspective about their own fraternity/sorority experience as a result of their time at UIFI.
UIFI is for any collegiate brother who desires to be a strong leader and who believes in the fraternal experience. You do not have to hold a formal leadership role or a specific position to attend.
UIFI sessions are held throughout the summer (May, June, and July). Your placement in a session is based on the preferences you select during the registration process.
2025 Session Dates:
● Session 1: May 15-18
● Session 2: June 5-8
● Session 3: July 24-27
All UIFI sessions will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana, at Butler University. Transportation to and from UIFI is not included in the registration cost and must be covered on your own or by your chapter. Flight or mileage may be reimbursed by the Fraternity upon successful completion of your UIFI session.
Visit the AFLV website to learn more about this year’s registration costs.
Sigma Alpha Epsilon is a proud scholarship partner of UIFI. We are up to offering five scholarships for 2025, which cover the cost of registration (which includes food, lodging, in-city transport, and all program materials; additional costs external to this process are getting to and from Indianapolis). Scholarship applications for the 2025 sessions are now open and close on March 26, 2025. If you receive an SAE scholarship, you will be required to register for UIFI by April 11, 2025.
