Job Posting: Staff Accountant
The Staff Accountant of the Finance Department prepares monthly bank reconciliations, general ledger account analysis, assists the management in other special projects ensuring that all established standards are met in a timely and accurate manner. Membership in Sigma Alpha Epsilon is not required.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing effective communication strategies
- Manage internal communications (memos, newsletters etc.)
- Draft content for mass media, website, digital media, The Record Online and The Record
- Foster relationships with advocates and key persons
- Collaborate with communication and marketing professionals to produce copy for advertisements or articles
- Provides analytical support to supervisor and senior leaders through the generation of timely and credible reports on the status of communications
- Assumes other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Membership in Sigma Alpha Epsilon preferred
- High degree of determination, enthusiasm and perseverance
- Baccalaureate degree required with a background in journalism preferred
- Ability to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment and independently
- Demonstrated ability to write across multiple formats (email, social media, interview content to story)
- Shareable portfolio of writing samples
- Experience in copywriting and editing
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
- Outstanding organizational and planning abilities with a willingness to juggle multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience in email design and content production
- Search engine optimization for enhanced visibility
- Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends occasionally
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents
- Ability to develop, plan and implement short and long-term goals
- Live within the Chicago Metropolitan area
