Home Foundation Ways to Give

Giving to the SAE Foundation is a recommitment to our brotherhood. By donating you are choosing to invest in the future of SAE.

The Sigma Alpha Epsilon Foundation holds each of our donors in the highest regard and has established multiple opportunities to allow individuals to determine how they would like to give. On behalf of everyone who benefits from your generosity, thank you for your gift.

Donations can be made to the Annual Loyalty Fund, Chapter Funds and National Scholarships.

Annual Loyalty Fund

All donations to the Annual Loyalty Fund are unrestricted, meaning that the money will go to the area with the greatest need. The Annual Loyalty Fund finances national SAE educational events, scholarships, awards, and your beloved schoolhouse, the Levere Memorial Temple.

Chapter Funds
Chapter Education Funds

Each chapter has an education fund established with the Foundation. Chapter Education Funds (CEF) are endowed funds that provide a wide array of educational dollars to a chapter. Click here for more information and to support a CEF.

Chapter Allocation Funds

Chapter Allocation Funds (CAF) are created to allocate dollars towards educational percentages of a new housing project or housing renovation. For chapters with an established allocation fund, click here for more information and to support a CAF.

SAE Foundation Scholarships help members pursue undergraduate and graduate degrees. These scholarships are made possible by generous donors.

Join the Phoenix Circle with a monthly gift of at least $25 and support members both nationally and locally. Donations can be directed 100% to the Annual Loyalty Fund or split 50/50 between the ALF and the restricted fund of your choice.

Donors that support the Sigma Alpha Epsilon mission on a recurring schedule become a dependable source of income, helping us serve more undergraduate brothers every year.

Your credit card will be charged through our secure automated processor once a month for the amount you choose. Donations made on a monthly basis add up quickly, making a huge impact each year.

Click here to join the Phoenix Circle. You will be asked to choose your monthly gift amount. Simply fill in your credit card information and click “Join the Phoenix Circle” at the bottom of the donation page.

Give yourself a high-five from the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Foundation team! We are so grateful for your support – it means the world to us and the thousands of undergraduate brothers that we provide leader development, educational opportunities, and scholarships to every year.

Online gifts can be made in honor or memory of individuals by selecting the box next to “Dedicate my donation in honor or in memory of someone.” on the donation form.

Investments of cash are always appreciated, however, there are other ways to benefit you, your family, and the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Foundation. You can leave a legacy with SAE by creating a trust while you are living or by including the Foundation in your will.

Already have SAE in your estate plan? Document your gift. Please contact us at or send a letter to 1856 Sheridan Rd, Evanston, IL 60201 to be recognized as a member of the Heritage Society.

As a donor to Sigma Alpha Epsilon Foundation, you may be able to double or even triple the impact of your outright gift if your employer or your spouse’s employer offers a matching gift program.

Such programs typically match all or a percentage of employee contributions to charitable organizations, making the employer a partner in your personal philanthropy. In most cases, all you need to do is obtain a matching gift form from the personnel department, fill it out, and include it with your gift to the Foundation. We will do the rest.

If you have any questions, please contact Sigma Alpha Epsilon Foundation or your employer.
