The DeVotie Ritual Institute provides initiated, collegiate brothers and alumni with the experience of learning about the Ritual of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and its application in both chapter and individual life. This weekend event provides attendees with knowledge of the application, history, and use of our Ritual in daily life and chapter settings.
This event takes place at the Levere Memorial Temple in Evanston, Illinois. Local accommodations at double occupancy are included for Friday and Saturday nights.
Master Ritualist Track: New this year, the Master Ritualist Track is open to alumni and returning collegians (those who have previously attended Ritual Academy). This track will include a more in-depth Ritual curriculum during the seminars and breakouts.

Registration covers the event, all meals, and lodging for Friday and Saturday. Travel to and from the event is not included.
Collegian Registration: $50*
Alumnus Registration: $400
*Special funding has been approved by the Supreme Council to subsidize the cost of collegian registration. Should you register and not attend (without canceling by July 7, 2025), you will be charged the full registration amount of $400.
Registration for all attendees is available through The SAE Portal. Registration will close Monday, July 7, 2025, at 11:59 PM Pacific.
If you need to cancel your registration, log in to The SAE Portal and submit a change request. Cancellations may be submitted until 11:59 PM PT on July 7. After July 7, refunds will not be issued for cancellations.
If you register and do not attend DeVotie Ritual Institute, you will be charged the full amount for the event, meals, and lodging ($400).

Attendance for the entire program — from start to finish — is required for successful graduation. Departing early from the program for any reason may result in failure to graduate.
Attendees are responsible for their own travel to and from Evanston.
If you plan to fly, you should book a flight that lands in Chicago on Friday (8/1) no later than 4:00 PM Central. You may depart anytime on Sunday (8/3).
Attire for the weekend is badge attire on Friday (dress slacks, dress shoes, and button-down with a coat and tie) and business casual on Saturday (dress slacks, dress shoes, and collared shirt).
