Partnerships & Programs

The Fraternity Health and Safety Initiative (FHSI) is designed to aid chapters of participating fraternities in achieving a high quality membership experience. Powered by a comprehensive curriculum, chapter members engage in consistent identification, prevention and intervention strategies to tackle the most pressing, and dangerous, social issues on college campuses today: alcohol and other drug abuse, sexual misconduct/assault, and hazing prevention/intervention.

Our partnership with the Jed Foundation educates our members on how to spot warning signs that a friend may be struggling with his emotional health, how to recognize when a problem is serious and how to get help for themselves or a friend in need. Through training our members are empowered to understand the importance of emotional health.

To request our "Getting Help for Your Friend" program, please email James Irwin at jirwin@sae.net.

Hazing Prevention.org Logo

HazingPrevention.Org is a national organization dedicated to its mission to empower people to prevent hazing in college and university student groups. We provide education, develop resources and build partnerships with others who believe in the work we do.

Sigma Alpha Epsilon is proud to be a Gold-level sponsor of HazingPrevention.org

Sigma Alpha Epsilon formed a national, preferred partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 2001 and has included them in a majority of our community-service and fundraising projects. Chapters organize a variety of events to benefit their local CMN Hospital, have incorporated the balloon-icon campaigns into their regional and national events and have raised more than $800,000 since the partnership began.

The Movember Foundation is the leading global charity changing the face of men’s health. Since 2003, Movember has asked men to grow a moustache during November to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically focused on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. With the help of over 5 million participants all over the world, the Movember community has not only started countless conversations, but has raised over $837 million and funded over 1,200 men’s health projects in 20+ countries. Through Movember’s online fundraising platform, SAE chapters have led the charge for fraternities around the country, and although the road to getting our men living happier, healthier, and longer lives might be a hairy one, it’s one worth growing.
