EVANSTON, IL – The Fraternity Service Center welcomes two new faces to our field-staff team this month. Both brothers come from strong chapters in our Realm and served in numerous leadership roles, exemplifying our creed, “The True Gentleman.”
Russell Best (Cincinnati '09) will serve as the Regional Director for the Kerr Region. He was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he now lives with his wife. He studied urban and community planning at the University of Cincinnati College of Design, Architecture, Art & Planning. Most recently, Best worked as the Assistant Director for Student Activities & Leadership Development and as a fraternity/sorority adviser at his alma mater. During his tenure, he helped to coordinate the expansion of eight Greek-letter organizations, contributing to a 60-percent increase in fraternity men and sorority women on campus. As an undergraduate, Best served as Eminent Archon and Interfraternity Council President.
Gavin Maxfield (New Haven ’12) will serve as a Coordinator of Extension, working alongside Ryan Tolle. Originally from Canton, Massachusetts, Maxfield recently graduated from the University of New Haven, earning his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, international justice and security. He is a Founding Father of his chapter, Connecticut Nu-Eta. In fact, he served as its first Eminent Archon and led the men in several other officer positions. Maxfield served as an Ambassador at the 76th John O. Moseley Leadership School, as the Province Alpha Risk Management Chairman and as Undergraduate Advisory Committee Chairman. He is a recipient of the Order of the Phoenix. Prior to joining the Fraternity Service Center, Maxfield worked in learning operations for Iron Mountain in Boston.
