The Inner Circle is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for 25 of the top undergraduate leaders in our Realm to learn from some of Sigma Alpha Epsilon’s greatest alumni leaders – both in our organization and in their respective fields.
Attendees got to learn firsthand from members of the Supreme Council in addition to several special guests. The 2012 Inner Circle distinguished guests are listed below. Inner Circle attendees will hear their stories about their paths their success and their experiences in Sigma Alpha Epsilon – all in a personal, small-group atmosphere.

Seth Alford, USMC Intelligence Officer
Alford is an Intelligence Officer in the United States Marine Corps. In addition, he graduated from the inaugural Inner Circle class. Alford recently returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan working with and training Afghan National Security Forces in executing border security operations. He currently serves as the Air Combat Intelligence Officer for the Third Marine Air Wing Commanding General in San Diego, CA.
Dr. Lloyd K. Everson Jr., Vice Chairman of US Oncology
Everson currently holds the position of Vice-Chairman and member of the Board of Directors of US Oncology, Inc. In 1993, Everson become a member of the Board of Directors, Presaident and COO of American Oncology Resources, Inc., which later became US Oncology, Inc. It’s one of the largest healthcare service networks dedicated exclusively to cancer diagnosis, treatment and research. In 2009, Everson formed the Life Beyond Cancer Foundation for US Oncology and serves as Chairman of the Board.
Ed Fuller, President, Marriott International
Fuller is president and managing director of international lodging for Marriott International, Inc. Based at the company’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., he has been in charge of international lodging since 1990. Under his leadership, the business has grown from 16 properties outside the United States and Canada to 350 hotels in 70 countries with another 175 hotels under construction.
John Lauer, Board Chairman, Diebold Inc.
Lauer is the non-executive chairman of the board for Diebold and has served on the board since 1992. He retired as chairman of the Olgebay Norton Company in 2003 and previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer of B. F. Goodrich. In addition, he’s held several executive positions with Hoechst A.G. and the Celanese Corporation.
General Richard B. Myers, Former Joint Chiefs of Staff
Myers retired as the 15th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in October of 2005 after serving more than 40 years in the U.S. Air Force. During his term as chairman, he served as principal military adviser to the President, the Secretary of Defense and the National Security Council.
