Travis Tafoya (UC-Colorado Springs ’16) graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in counseling and human services. He served his chapter as Eminent Archon for two years as well as Eminent Treasurer and Philanthropy & Community Service Chairman.

During his undergraduate tenure, Tafoya was honored with the Order of the Phoenix, Fraternity Man of the Year and the University’s Emerging Leader Award. He helped his chapter triple in size, established the first Interfraternity Council and created a strategic plan for Fraternity and Sorority Life with the President’s Council. In addition, Tafoya is a two-time Eminent Archon Institute graduate and Levere Leadership Institute graduate and has attended and served as an ambassador at both the John O. Moseley Leadership School and DeVotie Ritual Institute. He has attended the Western States Leadership School continuously as an attendee and ambassador and currently is a member of the planning committee, serving as Assistant Director of Outreach.

Outside of the Fraternity, Tafoya worked for the University of Colorado for more than two years in the Pre-Collegiate Development Programs and for the Student Life and Leadership Department. In addition, he was Student Body Vice President and coordinated Giving Tuesday efforts with the Alumni and Advancement Office.

For the past seven months, Tafoya served as the Coordinator of Educational Programs and moved to the Department of Chapter Development to work closer with chapters and collegiate leaders.

In his community, Tafoya serves as the Resort Program Manager for SOS Outreach, a national youth-development nonprofit utilizing outdoor experiential learning to inspire positive decision-making for healthy and successful lives.
