Chris Platz (New Haven ’14) graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fire science, concentrating on arson investigation. As a member of Connecticut Nu-Eta, he served as Risk Manager, Community Service Chairman and Social Chairman and as a multi-term Judicial Board Member. In addition, Platz was Sergeant-at-Arms of the InterFraternity/Sorority Council and Founding President of the InterFraternity Council. His chapter brothers presented him with the Brother of the Year Award during his senior year. Platz also has attended the John O. Moseley Leadership School, Province Alpha Leadership School and DeVotie Ritual Institute. Following graduation, he became the Vice President of the Connecticut Nu-Eta Alumni Association.

In May of 2014, Platz began working for Drexel University as a Coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Life. He advised the InterFraternity Council, overseeing their restructuring efforts, and was responsible for oversight of new-member programs, university initiatives and Greek Life programming on chapter, council and community levels.

In his spare time, Platz is a volunteer firefighter and EMT for his hometown, which he has been doing since the age of 16. Additionally, he is a member of the county’s Hazardous Materials Team.
